The article focuses on dilemmas between the selected educational styles and accompanying pedagogical concepts. It shows the differences in upbringing styles throughout time according to the concepts of individual researchers. In the second part, the article shows the upbringing styles and accompanying attitudes of parents, emphasizing the advantages and disadvantages each of them. The article ends with a summary and conclusion concerning the search for the golden mean in the difficult and demanding process of rasing.
